What to expect at Haneul Nuclear Reactor
Radiation is the defining hazard. A cloud of toxic vapour sits over the site and the official guide says it is expected to stay concentrated there. Anyone entering the complex must wear radiological protective gear and a gas mask, or expect severe injury or death. The official guide says to search Fire Stations for Radiation Gear.
Reactor 02 has a major breach centred on the containment block, while Reactor 01 is described as stable for now. The reactor itself is High threat and the surrounding South Korean Border Zone is Medium.
Going in is officially discouraged, but two possible routes are mentioned: a waterborne insertion, or a tunnel that runs from Compound Delta to the southwest.
