What to expect at Deadtown
Deadtown is one of the gentler North Korean areas: the streets are Low threat and only the two Re-Education Centers in the centre rise to Medium. Expect lightly armored soldiers, possible convoys and street-to-street fights, with the better targets inside the larger buildings.
The old town has single-family houses along a main dirt road with a Clinic and a Gas Station at each end of town. The east side, raised above the Hajin River, has small tenement blocks, some of which hide military storage. A sewer system runs under the town and may connect to the most important buildings.
Following the railroad northeast leads to small, poorer hamlets along the river. An early DMZ Order in the official Tac-Map screenshot asks you to hack a UAV Tower in Deadtown, so many new players will pass through here in their first deployments.
Deadtown tips
- Good first-deployment area: Low threat outside, Medium only in the Re-Education Centers.
- Two Gas Stations, one at each end of town, for refuelling vehicles.
- Check the sewers; the official guide hints they connect to key buildings.
